拍賣史最貴藝術品誕生!達文西《救世主》HK$35億成交

拍賣史上最貴藝術品誕生!全球唯一可以買到的達文西畫作 -《救世主》(Salvator Mundi)在紐約佳士得上拍,20分鐘爭奪戰中迎來逾50口叫價。拍賣官最終以US$4億天價落槌,連佣成交價達到難以置信的US$4.5億(約HK$35億)。 

Salvator Mundi意思是「世界的救世主」,耶穌基督身穿藍衣,一反傳統紅袍造型,左手拿水晶球,右手作祝福手勢。象徵「傳承和富貴」。存世達文西畫作鳳毛麟角,大約就15或16幅。在私人藏家手中的只有這幅《救世主》,其他的不是在博物館就是在教堂,皆是「眼看手勿動」。

如此的世紀拍賣,拍賣場當然早就座無虛席,同時滿滿的塞進了來自50多間傳媒的採訪人員。拍賣官由全球總裁彭肯南(Jussi Pylkkanen)擔任,他以US$7,000萬、一個相當保守且誘人的價錢起拍。至US$1.9億以前,這仍是眾人之爭 - 4位電話競投與1位現場人士。US$2億關口以後,就只剩下兩人出手。

這兩人是古典藝術部門主管Francois de Poortere,與戰後及當代藝術部美洲區聯合主席Alex Rotter。US$2億開始,每口叫價由US$1,000萬降至US$500萬。兩人你來我往,一路鬥至US$2.6億,此後每口叫價進一步降至US$200萬。

現場只得兩人出價,每口又愈趨緩慢,再加上雙方已拉鋸多時,如斯情況非得拍賣官處理一下。彭肯南見慣風浪,當然不是省油的燈,屢次適時幽默一下,緩和現場氣氛。


還未到拍照時刻呢

例如US$2億多叫價時,等了好一會都未有出價,他就向電話競投席說「Are we all done? Maybe not. Don’t take photos quite yet」(意思大概是:都出價了嗎?或許還沒有。先別急著拍照),引來全場發笑。

與此同時,他亦不會忘了向Francois及Alex施壓,建議兩人令競投客戶提高叫價,好讓拍賣保持著所需節奏。

要贏得絕世畫作,就不得不施點計策。Francois客戶是「穩打穩扎」,出價基本上就是規距的一口一口上去;反觀Alex客戶則不時「出奇不意」,會突然以高價突襲對手。

是時候拍照記錄歷史一刻了

US$2.7億時,下一口應是US$2.72億,他就出價US$2.8億;US$2.86億時,下一口是US$2.88億,他就出價US$3億。這種出奇不意最終為他帶來勝利,Francois出價US$3.7億,Alex一口氣叫出US$4億,拍賣官一槌定音,寫下拍賣史新一章。

買家方面,暫時未有消息透露Alex的客人是誰。至於賣家方面,行方雖然只說是「重要歐洲收藏」,但藝術界都知道是俄羅斯「化肥大王」雷波諾列夫(Dmitry Rybolovlev,上圖)。

畫作以天價脫手,這位富商應該相當高興。事關2013年時,他以US$1.275億(約HK$9.9億)購下《救世主》,後來卻發現這幅大作只賣了US$8,000萬。即是說,這宗買賣的中間人 - 他的藝術顧問Yves Bouvier(上圖)「過水濕腳」,侵吞了US$4,200多萬。兩人的官司仍未結束,但雷氏現在應該可以開香檳慶祝一下了。


補充一下,此前的畫作拍賣紀錄,由畢加索(Pablo Picasso)的《阿爾及爾的女人(O版)》(Les Femmes d'Alger (Version O))創下,於2015年在紐約佳士得以US$1.79億成交。
