Over The Influence is a Hong Kong based gallery dedicated to featuring a vibrant contemporary programme. The gallery was founded to showcase radical and influential artists from around the world such as Invader, Shepard Fairey, Cleon Peterson, Vhils, Enki Bilal, Jerkface, Abigail Goldsmith, Huang Xiaoliang and Hikari Shimoda. The gallery is committed to stimulating artistic discourse through artists’ solo exhibitions, collaborations with museums, foundations and institutions worldwide, group shows, participation in international art fairs and biennales, and through production of individual publications. Following the success of the initial three years as an artist management team, Over The Influence established its permanent gallery space in an area in Hong Kong known for its local and international galleries with diverse programmes. This new gallery space in the heart of Hong Kong gallery district hopes to engage members of the artistic community and serve as a platform for ambitious and diversified exhibition programmes. It offers a bigger freedom of artistic expression for its artists and collaborators. In the upcoming years, Over The Influence has ambitions to support a wide range of new ground-breaking exhibitions with international contemporary artists and to introduce fresh perspectives to the Hong Kong individuals and the collective.
